JHG Media started as a partnership of three friends who first met while attending kindergarten in Silver Spring, Maryland. Through years of work in various business ventures and promotional efforts, in a frustrating succession of hiring and firing search engine optimization (SEO) experts, online marketers, and other so-called experts, the three partners took it upon themselves to optimize and market their own websites.
